Today's first reading at Mass is the story of Jonah, a most reluctant prophet. I thought that this image would help us reflect on the call to be prophets today...and the demands of being open to God's often-surprising ways.Later today, I'm off to Bucks County for another KAIROS retreat with the students from St. John Vianney High School. I'm praying that this will be a powerful time for them, when the Lord will touch them with love, grace, and peace.
