RIP Richard Proulx

In the 1980's, as a seminarian at Notre Dame, I had the great good fortune of travelling into Chicago to meet Richard Proulx, the musician at Holy Name Cathedral.
His talent was already legendary, and my meeting with him that day will be forever etched into my mind. Richard had been battling failing health for a number of years, and recently died a few weeks ago. The American Catholic church has lost one of its best and most talented pastoral musicians.
